These debate locations would seem to favor McCain? Especially the Belmont University location. Let's hope hope the college kids have some hard hitting questions.

WASHINGTON - John McCain and Barack Obama have agreed to hold three presidential debates and one vice presidential debate this fall, the campaigns said in a joint statement Thursday that outlined formats, dates and locations.

The Commission on Presidential Debates will sponsor the events.

The first, on Sept. 26 at the University of Mississippi, will focus on foreign policy and national security, and McCain and Obama will answer questions from moderator Jim Lehrer while standing at podiums.

On Oct. 7, the two will meet again for a town-hall style debate at Belmont University. Moderator Tom Brokaw will call on audience members and pose questions submitted through the Internet.

The third presidential debate, on domestic and economic policy, is slated for Oct. 15 at Hofstra University. McCain and Obama will sit at a table with moderator Bob Schieffer.

Vice presidential contenders are to meet Oct. 2 at Washington University in St. Louis.

I wondered how to submit questions to the Belmont debate and here is what I found out:

Dear Ray,

Thank you so much for your interest in the 2008 Presidential Debate that will be held at Belmont University. We are very pleased to have been selected as the site for the Town Hall Debate—it is an honor and privilege.

The Commission on Presidential Debates has partnered with MySpace to create a new website, www.MyDebates.org, to enhance the educational value of the televised debates and to engage viewers throughout the general election period. You can submit questions to www.MyDebates.org for possible inclusion in the 2008 Presidential Town Hall Debate which will take place on October 7th as well as offer feedback on the new debate formats. As of now, the website is up but is still in the process of being developed. Any questions considered for inclusion will be chosen from that particular website.

We appreciate your interest in this important process in the selection of our next President.

Sincerely,
Lisa Battaglia

Should these be questions asked of any candidate at any level of government?

Would it be an open book test? lol.....

Honestly...most politicians would probably flunk if these where given to them on a test.

I just want both leading candidates to answer these:

1. If elected, would you commute the sentence and fully pardon Ramos and Compean?

2. Will you fully secure the southern border by all means necessary?

Just a YES or NO answer.......

But alas.....these 2 questions will never be asked of them....

But..I do know that Dr. Baldwin would not hesitate to answer these......and his answer would be absolutley YES to both questions!!!!

Rayj00:

For darn sure we won't here question #1 asked of the two mainstreams.

Likley neither will #2 as Chuck Baldwin explains in his article "I Am An American":

The global elite suffered a minor setback when the U.S. Senate failed to pass the Bush/McCain/Kennedy/Graham amnesty-for-illegal-aliens bill. But if you think that John Mccain is going to let that bill lie on the floor of defeat, you don't understand these people. Should McCain become President, He will do everything he can to implement some kind of amnesty law. Barack Obama will do the same. The reason? It is essential to the designers of despotism that our borders be eliminated.
